Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide friendly service to enhance their café experience
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including processing payments and giving correct change using retail math skills
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with food handling duties to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality beverage preparation
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service background preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
- Proficiency in using POS systems for sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate loads, and perform cleaning duties as required
