The HR Associate role is a highly confidential, integral member of our HR department. Primary responsibilities will involve guiding new hires through their first steps with DVM and meticulously managing all employee information. Responsibilities

New Hire Onboarding Support:
- Take the lead onboarding new employees, including registration, paperwork and documentation, maintaining records, asset acquisition, and answering questions.
- Organize and maintain highly confidential files and information.
- Assist with scheduling and setting up new employee orientation sessions, including facility tours and introductions.
- Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and physical employee records, ensuring everything is complete and organized.
- Assist with regular checks of records to ensure all information is correct and up-to-date.
- Support the proper filing and archiving of employee documents.
- Help process employee changes (like new hires, promotions, or transfers) within our HR Information System (HRIS).
- HR Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative assistance to the HR department, such as drafting basic correspondence, scheduling meetings, and preparing simple presentations.
- Assist in the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Assist with recruitment and interview process on select postings. Screen candidates, schedule interviews, follow up on reference checks, and perform follow-up communication with applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Projects:
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of various projects and initiatives, working collaboratively with HR and Talent Acquisition Teams.
- Track and report on recognition program participation and effectiveness.
- Administer and support existing recognition programs (i.e. anniversary awards, peer recognition platforms, spotlight awards).
- Support the planning and execution of company-wide employee engagement events (i.e. holiday parties, team-building activities, wellness challenges, volunteer/outreach opportunities).
- Miscellaneous:
- Handle ad-hoc administrative tasks and special projects as may be assigned.
Required Knowledge/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative support role; prior office, customer service or HR-related experience (including internships) is a plus.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
Required Skill/Abilities
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong adaptability to new technologies and software.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with impeccable grammar and proofreading abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn HR Information Systems (to include, but not limited to HRIS, ATS).
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

- Must be able to travel between DVM and/or client locations as needed, some travel could require overnight stays.
