We are looking for an Account Executive with a strong background in mechanical contracting, design-build energy project sales, or ESCO / energy performance contracting to drive business development across the NY, NJ, CT, MA, PA, DC, and MD territory. In this role, you will help commercial and institutional clients transition to greener, more efficient, and more resilient facilities — partnering with our in-house engineering and operations teams to deliver comprehensive, turnkey energy upgrades. You will bring a deep understanding of utility rebate programs, federal incentives including the ITC, and project financing to help clients maximize their investment and achieve their sustainability goals.
We are looking for an Account Executive with 3 years of experience in Solar, EV, and/or Battery Storage sales to drive business development across the NY, NJ, CT, MA, PA, DC, and MD territory.
In this role, you will help commercial and institutional clients transition to greener, more efficient, and more resilient facilities — partnering with our in-house engineering and operations teams to deliver comprehensive, turnkey electrification solutions. You will bring a deep understanding of utility interconnects, utility rebate programs, federal incentives including the ITC, and project financing to help clients maximize their investment and achieve their sustainability goals.
- Territory Management & Growth: Prospect, cultivate, and close new business opportunities across the NY/NJ/CT/MA/PA/DC/MD region within our target markets (Commercial, Multi-family, Healthcare, Hospitality, Banking, Government).
- Consultative Selling: Conduct initial site walks and interview facility teams to understand their operational goals, infrastructure pain points, and sustainability targets.
- Solution Presentation: Present customized, turnkey proposals focused on EV Charging, Solar, Battery Storage, Microgrid solutions, and other resiliency opportunities. Cross-selling into other business units is encouraged.
- Rebate & ROI Education: Clearly articulate the financial benefits of electrification upgrades by leveraging DVM's expertise in utility interconnects, ITC and federal incentive programs, state/utility rebates, and project financing options.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication from the initial concept phase through project execution and lifetime care.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with DVM’s internal electrical and mechanical engineering teams to develop accurate estimates, tailored project designs, and achievable scopes of work.
- Market Strategy: Stay current on local building emission laws (e.g., NYC Local Law 97), utility incentive programs, and emerging energy/resiliency technologies to strategically position DVM Industries in the marketplace.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in energy solutions, facility management, MEP services, ESCO (Energy Service Company) sales, or commercial construction strongly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with energy efficiency technologies (LED, HVAC, Building Controls, MEP) and an understanding of state utility rebate programs in the tri-state area and PA.
- Sales Acumen: Ability to present outcomes in clear financial terms. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, with demonstrated ability to close and manage a book of business of $5M or more annually. Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with the ability to present outcomes in clear financial terms.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills. Ability to translate technical engineering concepts into clear, business-focused value propositions.
- Drive & Autonomy: Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a field-based role while maintaining high levels of activity and pipeline generation.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently across the NY/NJ/CT/MA/PA/DC/MD territory for site visits, client meetings, and industry networking events. Valid driver’s license required.

Salary : $80,000 - $125,000
