About this Job
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Custodian/Housekeeper to clean on a daily basis, mop, disinfect, dust, and sweep assigned areas. To also strip, buff, wax, and disinfect floors in an assigned area on a regular basis using required industrial machinery.

Job Duties and Other Information
- Clean contaminated trash bins & contaminated trash
- Decontaminate patient rooms, restrooms, and isolation rooms which contain biohazard wastes such as blood, urine, feces, and used needles.
- Dispose of infectious waste when necessary and document that proper procedures were followed.
- Report deficiencies such as paint peeling, water leaks in faucets/toilets, bugs in light covers, broken equipment, etc.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Job Appointment/WAE (PRN)
Location: Housekeeping Department of the Northeast LA Veterans Home in Monroe, Louisiana
Work Schedule: WAE employees are only allowed to work 1245 hours within a twelve-month period and are not eligible for or entitled to state benefits, leave earning, and paid holidays.
