Duxbury Public Schools is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Library Assistant at the Duxbury Middle School/Duxbury High School for the 26-27 school year. The library is a shared facility between the two schools and offers a variety of supports and resources to our entire grade 6-12 student population
Position Requirements:
This position is eligible to participate in the Town of Duxbury Benefit plans that include paid sick days, health insurance (25% employee contribution), dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, vision insurance, pet insurance, accident insurance, cancer insurance, critical illness insurance, prescription drug program, 529 College Savings plan, and an employee assistance program.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associates Degree considered with relevant experience
- Experience working in a library environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of every student.
- Assist the DMS/DHS Librarian with cataloging, database updates, student monitoring, stocking of materials and other assigned duties.
- Demonstrate a willingness to accept constructive feedback from the supervisor.
- Demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Additionally, the role would require assisting teachers and their students who are utilizing the facility for research and instruction.
