Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Arabic Interpreter and Translator for a part-time, fully remote, project-based position. The selected candidate will translate written content between English and Arabic, review and edit translations, and occasionally provide spoken interpretation as needed.

Weekly hours are flexible and will depend on project availability, workload, and business needs. This position does not guarantee a minimum number of weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written documents and materials between English and Arabic.
• Review, proofread, and edit translated content for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and consistency.
• Accurately convey the original meaning, tone, and intent across languages.
• Provide occasional phone, video, or spoken interpretation as requested.
• Support translation projects related to employment, training, orientation, meetings, human resources, health services, and other operational activities.
• Complete voice recordings and other language-related assignments as required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
• Communicate proactively with team members to clarify project requirements.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Must be proficient in Arabic and English, particularly written translation.
• Must pass the interpreter/translation assessment with an average total score of 90% or higher.
• Strong written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English and Arabic for occasional interpretation assignments.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and basic computer and typing skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in translation or interpreting.
• At least one year of translation or interpreting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of translation and interpreting best practices.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar platforms.
  
  

Work Schedule

• Part-time, fully remote position.
• Weekdays only.
• Flexible weekly hours based on project availability and business needs.
• Hours may vary, and there is no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.
• No travel required.
