Project / Sr. Project Engineer (Structural)

Position Objectives:

1. Perform structural analysis and design and oversee drafting work for the production and construction of precast, post-tensioned, concrete tanks.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Perform structural analysis and design of precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks in compliance with appropriate design codes and Dutchland standard practices
2. Oversee the preparation of Erection and Production drawings for precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks
3. Interface with the Project Management, Production and Construction departments to produce and install tanks within established budgets and schedules
4. Assign work to Design Engineers as necessary
5. Check work performed by Design Engineers
6. Contribute to efforts within the Engineering Department to continuously improve quality and efficiency of structural designs
7. Contribute to efforts in the Engineering and Drafting Department to continuously improve efficiency of workflow
8. Diligently work to obtain proficiency in analysis and design of all types of tanks produced by Dutchland
9. Assist in the coordination of engineering and drafting for out-sourced projects, as needed
10. Travel to job sites to inspect tanks and recommend remedial work, as needed
11. Prepare letters and written reports, as needed
12. Submit project reports to the Engineering Manager

1. B.S. in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
2. Registered as a Professional Engineer in any state with the ability to become licensed in other states, as needed
3. Able to interpret Contract Documents for environmental engineering tank projects
4. Concrete tank design experience is a plus
5. Willing and able to lead teams of engineers and drafters to ensure successful completion of projects
