Key Responsibilities
- Process check payments accurately and in accordance with company policies and approval requirements.
- Record and apply cash receipts, research payment discrepancies, and support timely account updates.
- Prepare and complete general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare and post recurring and nonrecurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Analyze prepaid expense and accrual accounts, prepare supporting schedules, and record monthly adjustments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Investigate account variances and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized accounting records and support internal and external audit requests.
- Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Three to five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Experience with accounts payable, cash receipts, account reconciliations, journal entries, prepaids, and accruals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with an accounting or enterprise resource planning system.
