Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Planner serves as a resource to design engineering and manufacturing personnel in areas of BOMs (bills of materials), machine programming, using engineering-provided flat patterns, routings, and ECO (engineering change order) requests. This position will prioritize the populating of bill of materials and production order routings on a project and accurately employ the use of SAP demand to drive, balance, and expedite release requests. The Manufacturing Planner creates print packages for the manufacturing floor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and executing incoming requests to the manufacturing release workbench to maintain accurate and on-time releases for production and service.
- Requests may include releasing completed bills of materials, developing routings, programming, implementing revisions from engineering change orders, and setting up requisitions for purchased components.
- Creating machine programs and etching using the engineering-provided flat
- Implementing engineering change order requests within MS Teams and SAP.
- Working with the engineering and production team to manage bills of materials (changes, copying, comparing, and developing alternates).
- Use critical thinking skills to generate design for manufacturing (DFM) opportunities or alternatives. Channel ideas and improvements via proper channels and drive to implement.
- Track and measure, as warranted, various continuous improvement steps to help drive ongoing improvements, investments, or other business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years related experience with engineering and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Associate's degree in a related technical discipline preferred.
- Microsoft Office, SAP, Oracle, or other business systems
- Preferred Technical: experience in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and/or Nesting Software's

Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary based on need. May be required to work holidays or weekends.
