Middle School Volleyball Coach

Durham Academy is accepting applications for a part-time Head Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach. The season runs from approximately mid-August through Mid-October.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads the instruction of our MS “B” volleyball team to include

  • Coordinating tryouts and team selection

  • Practice planning and execution

  • Game strategy

  • Distributing equipment and uniforms in conjunction with the MS Athletics Coordinator

  • Explaining rules and regulations

• Assists with supervising student-athletes

• Responsible for driving a mini-bus to all road games

• Regular communication and teamwork with the other MS volleyball coaches as well as Varsity program head coach

Candidates should expect a regular weekday commitment at practices that typically run from either 320-435 or 415-530 pm along with two-three games per week with most road games not being more than 45 minutes away from Durham Academy.

• Maintain positive and professional working relationships with all members of the school community to include student-athletes, parents, teachers, fellow coaches and administration.
