Manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician

You arrive on the floor with a clear plan: prioritize incoming raw material checks, prep your gauges, and review the queue of First Article Inspections (FAIs). Before the first break, you’ve verified parts against drawings, recorded measurements with calipers and micrometers, and logged your findings in our quality control software. By mid-day, you’re documenting FAIs to customer acceptance criteria, issuing Certificates of Conformance, and feeding production teams with data-backed feedback. In the afternoon, you join MRB to disposition nonconforming material, update work instructions to close gaps, and tighten Statistical Process Control (SPC) monitoring. You wrap by preparing for an internal audit and capturing metrics for departmental reporting—another day ensuring our products meet customer requirements and quality standards under our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

• Execute product and raw material inspections and in-process audits to confirm conformance to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Complete and record First Article Inspections (FAIs) per customer requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Process nonconforming material through the MRB workflow and ensure proper disposition of rejected items.
• Prepare Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and maintain all required quality documentation.
• Use inspection tools, gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately and consistently.
• Capture, analyze, and report production data to support quality metrics and departmental dashboards.
• Develop, revise, and enhance work instructions and quality procedures to support manufacturing processes.
• Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and associated documentation.
• Support ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, including participation in internal audits.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of Statistical Process Control (SPC) reporting.
• Identify risks and improvement opportunities on the shop floor and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• 2 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background working within an ISO 9001 quality system.
• Hands-on proficiency with inspection equipment, gauges, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and analysis.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Capability to lift up to 33 pounds as needed.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with SPC tools and quality methodologies.

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 hourly
