Custodian

The custodian performs cleaning and janitorial duties to maintain a clean, hygienic dirt and dust free environment in all production areas. The custodians are also tasked with providing a front line, first class, customer, visitor and team member environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

The custodian performs cleaning and janitorial duties to maintain a clean, hygienic dirt and dust free environment in all production areas. The custodians are also tasked with providing a front line, first class, customer, visitor and team member environment.

• Maintains floors through damp and dust mopping, shampooing, scrubbing, stripping, refinishing and waxing
• Provides cleaning in all assigned areas
• Collects and disposes of garbage and waste materials throughout the plant
• Changes light bulbs in fixtures and machines
• Coordinates with maintenance purchasing and maintenance team leader on ordering necessary supplies
• Restocks supplies in restrooms and break areas
• Machine washes items such as smocks, mop heads and rags as needed
• Cleans production equipment and machinery
• Operates and maintains equipment used to perform essential job duties
• Assists with preventative maintenance cleaning and deep cleaning of equipment and machines under supervision
