Looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to join our kitchen team. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their food, knows how to lead a team, and understands that a successful kitchen requires both strong culinary skills and strong organization.
The Head Chef will be responsible for maintaining kitchen standards, managing staff and the kitchen staff schedule, overseeing inventory and ordering, developing and maintaining the menu, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and consistently.
This is a full time position, 6AM-2PM Sundays are required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, prep, production, service, and closing.
- Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
- Create and manage kitchen staff schedules based on business needs.
- Oversee ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
- Develop, maintain, and improve menu and recipes.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, organization, sanitation procedures are followed, maintain high standards for cleanliness,.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, flavor, portioning, and presentation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong professional experience in culinary, training, coaching, and managing kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of food costs, portion control, waste management, and food ordering.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen efficiency.
- Ability to develop and follow recipes and standardized procedures.
- Reliable, professional, and willing to be hands on.
- ServSafe Management certification required.
