About the Role
Durand-Wayland is looking for a Field Service Electrician / Technician to support installation, startup, and service of equipment at customer sites across North America.
This role is ideal for someone with electrical or industrial maintenance experience who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and travel. You do not need to be an expert in everything—we will support and train the right person.
Our goal is simple: keep our customers running and their equipment performing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install, troubleshoot, and service industrial equipment at customer sites
- Work with electrical systems including motors, sensors, and control panels
- Diagnose issues and get equipment back up and running
- Assist with equipment startups and upgrades
- Communicate with customers to explain issues and solutions
- Complete basic documentation and service reports
- Work both independently and alongside other technicians
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience in electrical work, industrial maintenance, or similar field
- Ability to read basic electrical schematics
- Comfortable working with tools, equipment, and troubleshooting systems
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
- Valid driver’s license
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Experience with PLCs or VFDs
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or food processing
- Spanish language skills

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
