Minimum Qualifications:
ABD in Economics (or equivalent).
Evidence of effective teaching and a commitment to inclusive, student-centered pedagogy.
An active research agenda, including a promising job-market paper and pipeline, and the ability to contribute. to the department’s research profile.
Able to teach microeconomics, macroeconomics, and/or statistics.
A collegial and collaborative citizenship orientation committed to program development.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Economics (or equivalent) by the start date.
Experience teaching required and elective courses in economics at the undergraduate level.
Experience with graduate teaching, online instruction and/or executive education.
Practitioner experience related to the candidate’s areas of primary or secondary interest.
Interest in or experience with interdisciplinary scholarship.
Publications in high-quality journals related to economics.
Alternately, the applicants may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University Community.

The AACSB-accredited Palumbo-Donahue School of Business has approximately 1400 undergraduate and graduate students. The Department of Economics and Finance has 11 full-time faculty members and supports several degree programs, including the BSBA, Flex MBA (aimed at working adults) and the One Year MBA (a full-time day program with a strong emphasis on sustainability and ranked as a top “better world” MBA). The School is home to several centers of excellence. These include the Investment Strategy Institute and the Center for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, which hosts the annual Duquesne New Venture Challenge.
