POSITION SUMMARY:
General maintenance mechanic duties as assigned by a Maintenance Supervisor in
areas of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and general
construction.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will cover a variety of duties throughout campus as it relates to
maintenance and general construction.
Completes other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of work
experience in maintenance and/or construction or another related field.
Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of
experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities
required to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not
limited to, the following:
General knowledge of heating and cooling
systems, plumbing systems, electrical and pneumatic systems, and general
construction; knowledge of and ability to use hand and portable electrical
tools; willingness to work overtime and holidays; and ability to work well with
others.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the
University Community.
