Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Contractor Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist with the interpretation of construction plans and technical drawings to support project execution
- Perform manual handling tasks including lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment safely
- Operate power tools and basic equipment for site preparation, demolition, or assembly tasks
- Support erosion control efforts by installing barriers, silt fences, and other preventative measures
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure operational safety and efficiency
- Follow strict safety regulations, including the implementation of OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection protocols, and climbing safety procedures
- Support heavy lifting activities and ensure proper use of lifting devices and techniques
- Assist with site cleanup, material staging, and organization to maintain a safe and productive work environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in industrial or construction environments is highly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings with confidence
- Knowledge of erosion control methods and environmental protection practices on construction sites
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is advantageous
- Familiarity with workplace safety regulations, OSHA standards, and construction safety protocols
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, climbing, manual handling, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical instructions accurately
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations including respiratory protection requirements
