What are the responsibilities and job description for the Showroom Coordinator position at Dupe?
Dupe is a design-forward furniture and event studio with roots in Los Angeles, now opening our first New York space in Red Hook. We make custom, elevated furniture and create spaces people want to be in. We're looking for a Showroom Coordinator who will be the face of our NY studio - someone who genuinely loves design, knows how to connect with customers, and takes ownership of the space.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers with furniture selections, custom orders, and purchases - this is a custom furniture space, so deep product knowledge is essential
- Ring up sales and process transactions via our POS
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and presentation-ready at all times
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries and pickups
- Manage NY-specific emails and phone inquiries
- Schedule and take appointments for customers interested in visiting the space
- Communicate regularly with our LA home base
- Assist with content capture of the space as needed (not a social media role - just helping document the studio)
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You have retail experience and know how to hold a real conversation with a customer. You have a genuine interest in furniture and interiors — you can speak to materials, construction, and what makes a piece worth having. You're organized, proactive, and comfortable owning a space independently. Ideally you live in or near Red Hook - this role requires showing up consistently, and we want someone who's already in the neighborhood.
