Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Service vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, brake repairs, and suspension system repairs to maintain safety standards.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics as needed to support diverse vehicle types.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools efficiently to complete repairs with precision.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical failures.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle maintenance meets manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmissions, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and auto electrical systems.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics with the ability to read schematics and utilize diagnostic software effectively.
- Experience repairing diesel engines and performing auto body repairs is a plus.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and perform vehicle maintenance efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is highly desirable.
