Dunn Carney is looking for a hands‑on, people‑focused IT Support Technician who enjoys solving problems, teaching others, and keeping a busy law firm running smoothly. If you like being the person everyone trusts to “just fix it,” this role will feel like home.
Preferred Experience & Candidate Profile
Your days will be full of variety: coaching users on Microsoft Office shortcuts, setting up virtual meetings, provisioning accounts, assembling monitor arms, troubleshooting conference room AV, and making sure a remote employee can join a Zoom call from a hotel room. If you thrive on being the go‑to person who can fix almost anything, communicate with empathy, and keep things running smoothly in a fast‑paced legal environment, you’ll feel right at home here.
This role works closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff across the firm. This is an on-site role, with occasional off-hours support during trials or urgent matters.
Qualifications
Experience: Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Document Management Systems: Experience with DMS platforms.
Remote Connectivity: Familiarity with VPNs and remote‑access tools.
Security & Confidentiality: Strong awareness of cybersecurity environment, confidentiality requirements and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non‑technical users, including senior partners. Exceptional patience, professionalism, and the ability to prioritize and stay composed in a fast-paced legal environment.
Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to lift and move equipment (up to 40 pounds), set up workstations, and navigate office spaces to support staff needs.
