Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team 2 stroke knowledge is a plus. We are a local family owned business and treat our employees like family. We pay based on experience and offer bonuses and raises based on billed orders. We sell and service diesel tractors, lawn and garden tractors and zero turns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and be willing to work on all outdoor power equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, as well as a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel tractors and outdoor power equipment, including diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical issues.
- Conduct repairs on hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance of machinery.
- Fabricate parts as needed to replace worn or damaged components.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Operate cranes and other heavy equipment safely during repair processes.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and automotive repair techniques.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes for custom parts.
- Experience working in a dealership or service center environment is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to diesel mechanics.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
