Accounting and AP Assistant

*Eligibility requirements

 As an Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant, you will work with and support our accounting department with daily accounting operations for the company, with the primary focus on processing payment of expenses in a timely and accurate manner. You will also assist in other duties as needed, including supporting the accountants in performing their duties.  This is a Full-Time position located at:  65 Gray Road, Falmouth, ME with a regular schedule of 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.   

 Additional skills required and abilities:

·         Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivables – including an understanding of basic accounting principles

·         Experience with month-end close processes

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with financial software, such as Sage Intacc, preferred

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and maintain confidentiality

·         Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team

·         Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Position Qualifications:

·         Two or more years of experience in accounting is preferred
