Job Overview

This position is responsible for full-cycle A/P processing in accordance with policies and procedures and authorized systems. Additionally, investigates and resolves invoice discrepancies, open invoices; reconciles redemption and ensure payables are paid on time and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle accounts payable accurately and efficiently.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Perform account reconciliations as part of monthly close
  • Collaborate with Accounting team members and co-workers to improve AP processes.
  • Assist the VP of Finance and department co-workers with projects and assignments.
  • Proactively provide recommendations to develop innovative and efficient accounting services and processes by applying continuous improvement measures and methods.
  • Ensure compliance of all federal, state and local laws and regulations; assist in responding to regulatory and other requests.
  • Research and resolve both simple and complex invoice issues.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops as needed.
  • Performs other projects or duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • 2 years of full cycle AP experience
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus
  • High attention to detail and ability to problem-solve independently
  • Experience handling both simple and complex AP invoices
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
  • Exceptional internal and external customer service aptitude; positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Solid problem-solving ability; highly organized and detail orientated with strong analytical and organizational/time management skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with great initiative and ability to work well under pressure; prioritize multiple tasks; and deal effectively with interruptions.
  • Experience with maintaining sensitive and confidential information and data; familiarity with data privacy and security processes.
  • Possess a sense of ownership and commitment to continuous improvement.

Physical and Mental Demands
The physical and mental demands described below are representative of those that most commonly will be encountered in this position yet are not all inclusive.

Physical and mental ability to perform the duties of this job include hearing and verbal ability sufficient to communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers in person and via computer/telephone/voice systems. This position requires sustained periods of sitting and occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and reaching above or below desk level. The position may require lifting and/or movement of items up to 45 lbs. with/without mechanical assistance, at varying levels. Vision, dexterity coordination and cognitive ability sufficient to use telephone, keyboard, computer and other office systems and equipment efficiently. The duties will require work around or regular visits to operations’ areas with exposure to noise, fumes, machinery and other warehouse operations on an occasional or frequent basis.

Cognitive, intellectual, and mental ability to concentrate on details and/or perform more than one complex task at a time and to handle diverse pressures related to requests and needs others. Cognitive and mental ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers and all levels of personnel. This position is subject to varying and unpredictable situations; may handle urgent situations; is subject to many interruptions; may handle multiple calls and inquiries simultaneously; and may occasionally handle absentee back-up needs on short notice

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
