ABOUT THE COMPANY
Baskin-Robbins began in the mid-1940s when brothers-in-law Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins each opened their own ice cream shops in Southern California, merging them in 1953 to form Baskin-Robbins. The brand quickly distinguished itself with its "31 Flavors" concept — one flavor for every day of the month — and went on to introduce over 1,000 flavors throughout its history. Baskin-Robbins was also an early pioneer of the ice cream franchise model, which fueled its rapid expansion across the U.S. and eventually worldwide, while its ice cream cakes became a signature product. After changing hands over the decades, the company became part of Dunkin' Brands (now Inspire Brands), and today it remains one of the largest ice cream chains in the world, recognized by its iconic pink spoons and "BR" logo.
