Federal Network Support Shift Supervisor
Location: Reston, VA
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required
Shifts: (1) Day, (1) Swing, and (1) Night (24x7 Operations)
Hours:9AM-5:30PM; 5PM-1:30AM; 1AM-9:30AM.
Shift Differential pay for: Swing -7% night - 10%
We are hiring a Federal Network Support Shift Supervisor to lead a 24x7 team supporting mission-critical Azure Government networking infrastructure for Microsoft. This role combines hands-on Tier 2 network support with shift leadership, serving as the primary escalation point between Tier 1 operations and specialized engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of Federal Network Support Engineers in a 24x7 environment
- Act as the primary escalation point for network incidents and operational issues
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of WAN, VPN, ExpressRoute, and Azure networking incidents
- Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinate with Microsoft partners and carriers (AT&T, Verizon, Equinix, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, documentation, and security requirements
- Track performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in network operations or technical support
- 1–2 years of experience leading or supervising technical teams
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN)
- Hands-on experience with Azure networking services (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Virtual WAN)
- Experience working in 24x7 NOC or cloud operations environments
- Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain CJIS clearance
Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
