The Role
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder who can also MIG weld to join our growing manufacturing team. The successful candidate will work on fabricating high-quality steel components for playground structures, ensuring precision, safety, and durability in every project.
Responsibilities
- Carry out TIG/MIG welding on stainless and mild steel components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, and finish metal parts for playground equipment.
- Work to tight tolerances with a focus on quality and safety standards (BS EN 1176, ASTM, CSA).
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe and organised workshop environment.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and production staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a TIG/MIG welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Ability to work with stainless and mild steel to high standards.
- Competence in reading technical drawings and using fabrication tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
- Awareness of health & safety in a workshop environment.
- Relevant welding qualifications/certifications preferred.

3 years minimum experience in TIG and MIG
Experience in fabrication.
Able to read and interpret technical fabrication drawings.
Experience or certificates in abrasive wheels.
Mill and Lathe experience - beneficial
Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
