The Position: CDL Driver
Requirements:
- Must pass DOT physical
- Must have a valid Class A or Class B driver's license
- Must have a completely clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must have friendly customer service
- Must be available between 6am and 6pm
- Must be available weekends
- Must be able to work with a flexible schedule
- Must be able to use a mobile phone or tablet
- Commercial driving experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
Duties
- Provide excellent, friendly customer service to all customers.
- Operate roll-off trucks and other commercial vehicles to collect and transport waste materials.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of containers at designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding schedules and service needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when loading or unloading materials.
- Provide mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
- Perform truck maintenance duties, including but not limited to: detailing trucks inside and out, stocking supplies, checking fluids, airing tires, and completing weekly/monthly checklists.
- Perform dumpster maintenance: cleaning dumpsters, greasing hinges, basic repairs, painting, lettering, and inventory.
