Responsibilities
- Perform wash and fold orders (up to ~200 lbs in morning shifts)
- Operate garment care machines including pressing machines, dryers, washers, and other laundry equipment with precision and safety.
- Perform garment finishing tasks such as packaging to ensure high-quality presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by regularly cleaning equipment, floors, and work areas using appropriate cleaning detergents.
- Assist customers with their laundry services, answer questions about fabric care, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Process cash transactions accurately at the cashier station, handle cash safely, and balance registers at shift end.
- Manage manual handling of heavy laundry loads safely and efficiently while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and detergents; notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of garment care techniques including dry cleaning, garment pressing, and fabric care is preferred.
- Familiarity with laundry processing equipment such as pressing machines and garment finishing tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Understanding of cleanliness standards and workspace maintenance practices.
