Overview
The Director of Community-Based Services provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for Dumas R.I.S.E. Providers, Inc.’s community-based programming, including case management/navigation services and peer-focused initiatives. This role is responsible for supervising and supporting case managers and navigators staff while ensuring programs operate in alignment with organizational values, funder requirements, and community needs.
This position is designed to function as a leadership role alongside the Director of Clinical Programs. While the Director of Clinical Programs oversees licensed clinical services and clinical quality, the Director of Community-Based Services focuses on non-clinical service delivery, workforce support, and community engagement, allowing for shared leadership and balanced oversight across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Oversight
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of community-based programs, including Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) navigation, care coordination
Supervision & Workforce Development
- Directly supervise case managers, navigators, peer staff, and related contractors.
- Support onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing professional development of community-based and peer staff.
- Provide reflective supervision focused on skill development, boundaries, documentation quality, and workforce sustainability.
- Support staff scheduling, coverage planning, and workload management, including evening or weekend needs.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Review and monitor documentation, data entry, and reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Work with leadership to develop and maintain tracking tools, workflows, and internal quality assurance processes.
- Identify gaps, challenges, or risks and proactively recommend solutions.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Represent Dumas R.I.S.E. Providers in community meetings, partner collaborations, and funder convenings related to community-based and peer services.
- Support outreach, referral development, and relationship-building with community organizations and systems partners.
- Ensure programs remain responsive to community needs, particularly within BIPOC communities.
- Ensure program activities meet grant, contract, and performance requirements.
- Monitor program deliverables such as screenings, linkages, referrals, follow-ups, and engagement metrics.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Clinical Programs to align program operations with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field (or equivalent lived and professional experience).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in community-based programming, case management, navigation, or workforce development.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of community-based resources, Medicaid and social care systems, and peer support models.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, culturally centered care, and community-driven approaches.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Attributes

- Ability to lead through collaboration, mentorship, and shared leadership.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
