Apply project management knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills, and project management tools and techniques to meet the project requirements of research projects coordinated through the Research Project Management Core.

 

What You'll Do

Implement standard project management processes, tools and methodology to support small to medium non-clinical research projects. Consistently applying standard project management methodology, processes, and tools to projects.

 

Duties may include but are not limited to:

•           Plan, lead, and facilitate project team meetings

•           Manage events such as symposia, conferences, and seminars

•           Develop and implement communication plans

•           Develop detailed task lists and standard operating procedures

•           Coordinate logistical aspects of proposal development

•           Assist with project initiation and protocol management activities

•           Work with functional managers to resolve schedule and resource conflicts. Escalate difficult project issues as appropriate.

 

Perform any other related duties incidental to the work described herein. What You'll Bring

Education

•           Bachelor's degree. Additional training in Project Management or related training is desired.

Experience

•           Two years of experience in project management, with increasing scope and independence. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Preferred Qualifications

•           Excellent communication and collaboration skills

•           Ability to independently drive multiple projects at one time

•           Demonstrated experience delivering quality project outcomes and meeting project deadlines

•           Strong problem solving, strategic thinking, and time management skills

•           Knowledge of research best practices

•           Well qualified candidates will have knowledge of the Duke research infrastructure and resources

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $62,932.00 to USD $102,490.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
