What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aurizon Field Service Technician position at DUKANE IAS LLC?
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:
The Field Service Technician be familiar with all aspects of Dukane’s Aurizon continuous bonding technology product line. The Field Service Technician (FST)will support web, phone and field service activities as needed for the ongoing management of product lines within the Aurizon continuous bonding equipment scope. The FST will be familiar with the Dukane IAS LLC product lines, as used in the Aurizon equipment scope of supply. The FST is also an integral part of the design process, and will participate in scope, design, review, intellectual property support activities – as well as testing, checkout and qualification activities as needed. It is expected that the position will require 40% to 70% field service related travel. When not traveling, the FST will support design, testing, and production needs as needed. The FST will document learnings and will correlate trial reports to customers and technologies/product lines for improved product development efficiency.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Field service for the support of new equipment, upgrades, troubleshooting, training and sales support. Ability to travel on short notice and during weekends is required.
- Design engineering support through design review feedback and collaboration with team members (Aurizon, St. Charles, and other Dukane locations)
- Training, documentation, and service visit reporting – including cataloging of learnings.
- Equipment setup, checkout and demonstration activities.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with sales, engineering and customers to diagnose and resolve converting issues.
- Perform statistical analysis for understanding of overall system performance.
- Collaborate with customers, OEM’s and others to understand impact of process, material, operational input and ultrasonic system effects on converting equipment performance and output.
- Operates independently in the field.
- Demonstrates the desire to continuously learn and expand knowledge base – along with a strong sense of intellectual curiosity and an entrepreneurial attitude.
PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITIES:
Customer and other plant location travel as needed (40-70%)
On site work during balance of work time.
Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 Years in design or applications engineering role or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering or technical role or associate’s degree with supporting experience in similar role
