Bartender

Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and serve a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits with precision and flair
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items accordingly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and tabs efficiently
• Manage bar inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with beverage recipe development to keep offerings fresh and innovative
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and address any concerns promptly
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service during busy hours and special events such as banquets or nightclubs

Requirements

• Proven experience in bartending within fine dining, nightclub, or hospitality settings; food service experience is highly valued
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, craft beer trends, and spirits industry standards
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of beverages and garnishes
• Previous experience in food handling, catering events or banquet service is a plus
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for inventory management, and accurate billing
