                                                         Position Description

POSITION TITLE:       Food Service Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalency required

• Must possess basic computer skills

• Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of child nutrition standards as related to the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Lower body strength to stand, walk and bend throughout the day

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Complete tasks that are assigned by the supervisor.

2. Appropriately clean all areas assigned.
3. Effectively use equipment to perform job duties.
4. Completes the required Child Nutrition Program Annual Training.

5. Performs all duties in accordance with the USDA Child Nutrition Programs

6.  

   Be available to work the USDA Summer Food Program based on the district and community needs 

    

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Reports to work at scheduled time appropriately groomed.

2. Adheres to all school district rules & building rules & regulations.

3. Utilizes proper hand washing and safety techniques.

4. Completes other tasks as assigned.
