The Role

We are hiring an Account Executive to drive new business for our integrated service and controls offering—the combination of Axxon smart monitoring with Dual Fuel’s boiler service, maintenance, and emergency response. This is the core of our growth strategy and our strongest competitive differentiator.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close. Your focus will be on building relationships with property management companies, building owners, and managing agents across NYC and Westchester, and converting those relationships into long-term service and monitoring partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a relationship builder who understands the NYC real estate landscape, is comfortable with outbound prospecting, and can articulate the value of a proactive, technology-driven approach to building operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research target properties within our ideal customer profile to qualify prospects before initial outreach.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multifamily residential (co-ops, condos, etc.) and commercial segments.
  • Execute a multi-pronged approach for generating top-of-funnel pipeline including in-person building visits, phone outreach, and email campaigns.
  • Attend networking events, join industry associations, and leverage relationships to identify prospects and generate leads.
  • Build and maintain a healthy, well-documented pipeline in HubSpot; achieve a determined number of qualified new leads and closed deals per month.
  • Present Dual Fuel’s integrated service and Axxon controls value proposition to building decision-makers—from supers and resident managers to ownership groups and management companies.
  • Collaborate with estimating, field engineering, and service teams to deliver install proposals, service and controls agreements.
  • Provide market feedback to leadership on competitive landscape, customer needs, and product opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally w/ selling into the NYC area real estate market—strong understanding of property management structures, building types, co-op/condo boards, and owner/operator dynamics. (Knowledge of energy management, hvac: a plus but not required.)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a service agreement or project-based selling environment.
  • Strong consultative sales skills: qualification, needs assessment, value-based proposal development, and close.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-directed and comfortable with significant outbound activity in a field-based role.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or comparable CRM and standard productivity tools.
