Day shift 6:00am to 2:30pm
Evening shift 1:00pm to 9:30pm
30 minute unpaid lunch
Monday through Friday
Hours adjust based on facility needs

Job Summary
You provide direct nursing care to the inmate population. You work within scope of licensure. You support daily clinic operations. You respond to routine and emergency medical needs.
Key Duties
- Provide direct patient care per clinical orders and facility policy
- Administer medications oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular
- Assist with medication distribution at pill line
- Perform EKGs and skin testing
- Perform venipuncture for lab specimens
- Take medical histories and document findings in the medical record
- Monitor patient response to treatment
- Manage injuries using splinting and immobilization
- Respond to medical emergencies
- Conduct daily sick call
- Distinguish normal versus abnormal clinical findings
- Maintain accurate logs and reports per BOP and AAAHC standards
- Secure and dispose of sharps per policy
- Follow infection control, privacy, and confidentiality requirements
- Work closely with physicians and clinical staff
Requirements
- Active unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California
- Three or more years of RN experience
- BLS CPR certification through American Heart Association
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Proof of malpractice insurance
- Ability to pass federal background clearance
- Ability to work in a correctional environment
Additional Information
This is a non personal services contract role.
No overtime expected.
