You need
- Certification from an accredited Dental Assistant program
- Training in dental radiology and safety
- CPR from AHA or Red Cross
- Two years of experience
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Experience in a correctional setting preferred
- Chairside assistance in restorative, oral surgery, prosthetics, and exams
- Preparing instruments, materials, and supplies
- Passing instruments and supporting the Dental Officer
- Preparing rooms and records
- Escorting AICs and tracking care
- Radiographs using standard and digital systems
- Prophylaxis, charting, and preventive tasks
- Infection control and equipment upkeep
