Role Description This part-time, on-site Sales Associate role is based at the DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse location in Flowood, MS. The Sales Associate provides an engaging customer experience by greeting shoppers, understanding their needs, and offering product recommendations across various footwear and accessories categories. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, replenishing and merchandising product, and supporting inventory activities such as stock checks and transfers. The role also involves processing sales transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately at the register while following loss prevention and company policies. Sales Associates collaborate with team members to meet store goals, support promotional events, and ensure that customers receive timely, courteous assistance throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• Customer service and retail sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and provide helpful product recommendations.
• Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) skills, with attention to accuracy in processing transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Merchandising and store operations skills, such as maintaining visual standards, organizing stock, and supporting inventory management.
• Communication and teamwork skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and collaboration with diverse team members.
• Reliability and time management skills, with the ability to follow schedules, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing store priorities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights for extended periods to support store activities and customer needs.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and follow company procedures is essential.
• Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
