Import/Export Specialist - 2nd Shift Somerset, NJ, US On-Site As an Import Export Specialist, you will perform the duties required for the preparation of sample and sales orders and outbound deliveries. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Import Export Specialist with 5-10 years of experience in international trade operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP systems, warehouse logistics, and global trade compliance. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods across international borders while optimizing cost and delivery timelines. You will also be responsible in validating outbound delivery & bill of lading requirements to ensure accurate shipment to clients according to dsm-firmenich safety, quality, housekeeping, service (punctuality) and cost standards. This role will also require you to Inspect and load & unload trailers. For material receipts, validate material information, sample, label and transfer to warehouse. Your Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end import and export operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and freight coordination. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including Incoterms, customs laws, and trade agreements. Utilize SAP to process shipments, track inventory, and generate reports. Monitor and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or compliance issues. Ensure compliance with OBD validation procedures for all sales orders prior to shipment. Ensure compliance to goods receipt checklist procedure and trailer inspection procedure. Process all daily SAP PGI Transactions in accordance with policy. You bring High School diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse / manufacturing/ distribution environment. Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation. Experience and knowledge of SAP 5-10 years of experience in import/export operations, preferably in a global manufacturing or distribution environment. Knowledge of G.M.P's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and H.A.C.C.P (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) a plus. Prior experience handling chemicals and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and familiarity with HAZMAT regulations. The hourly rate provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.
