Port Newark (NJ), United States Job description Company and benefits Job ID 80822 Chemical Operator Location: Newark, NJ, US On-Site Perform the duties required for the continuous production of chemicals according to DSM-Firmenich’s safety, quality, housekeeping, service (punctuality) and cost standards. This position is a 12 hour rotating shift schedule, 7 days week, 365 days per calendar year. Join us to make a significant impact! Your key responsibilities Safely operate and monitor process equipment in area of responsibility. Maintain batch sheets, spreadsheets, control charts, and other documentation. Monitor process using GLC. Troubleshoot process & equipment problems, automation program, and provide support to Guardian teams. Ensures transfer of accurate production data into SAP and spreadsheets and inventory accuracy, including proper labeling of all inventories. You bring High School diploma and equivalent experience in a production or manufacturing environment. 2 years of chemical process experience and knowledge of special formula instructions. Prior equipment operator experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. Equipment operator experience in a chemical plant environment. Knowledge of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices). Ability to drive a forklift. Willingness to work overtime to cover vacancies. Ability to work a 24/7 rotating shift. The salary provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly rate: 30.00-$35.00 per hour. In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
