Quality Manager - Packaging Manufacturer
Location: Little Rock, AR area
A leading global manufacturer of paper-based packaging materials is seeking a Quality Manager to support a large-scale, process-driven facility serving food, beverage, and consumer goods markets. The organization is known for its focus on sustainability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
The Quality Manager will lead all plant-wide quality systems and performance initiatives, ensuring product consistency, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction across a high-volume manufacturing operation.
- Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities across the plant
- Maintain and enhance plant-wide quality systems and standards (ISO and customer-specific requirements)
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards
- Partner with operations to improve process consistency, yield, and product performance
- Oversee internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits
- Track and improve key quality KPIs (defects, scrap, complaints, cost of quality)
- Lead and develop the quality team, fostering accountability and performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or related field preferred)
- 5-7 years of experience in a quality leadership role within manufacturing
- Experience in pulp & paper, paperboard, or packaging manufacturing strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Quality systems (ISO, audits, compliance)
- Continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma)
- Process manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive plant-level quality performance
- Leadership role in a large-scale, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
