The responsibilities of the Quality Engineer will include:
- Drive compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead and support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits
- Ensure documentation control, record retention, and full product traceability
- Analyze quality metrics and process performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection methods, and acceptance criteria
- Support process validation, cleaning validation, and batch release activities
- Lead investigations into non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints
- Drive root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and other problem-solving methodologies
- Implement, verify, and monitor the effectiveness of CAPA programs
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, responding to audits, inquiries, and quality concerns
- Support supplier quality activities, including documentation reviews, evaluations, and corrective actions
- Partner with Production, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to improve product quality and manufacturing performance
- Support new product introductions (NPI), process changes, scale-ups, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization
The ideal Quality Engineer will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
- 3 years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Systems
- Experience leading root cause investigations, CAPA programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to develop reports, CAPAs, and customer-facing quality documentation
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, or equivalent
- Experience utilizing SPC and process monitoring tools to drive quality performance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
Qualifications that will set you apart:
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
- Experience in high-purity chemical manufacturing, semiconductors, or other highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of ETQ or similar electronic Quality Management Systems
- ASQ Lead Auditor certification
- PMP or other project management certification
- Experience supporting quality initiatives across complex manufacturing operations
Salary : $75,000 - $130,000
