Schedule: 4 days on‑site, 6:00am - 4:30pm
About the Role
We are partnered with a well‑established and growing manufacturing company in Florida seeking a hands‑on Electronic Controls Specialist to support and improve their electrical and controls systems. This is a critical role for someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of real‑world controls and electrical troubleshooting.
This position is ideal for a technically strong controls professional who enjoys being close to the equipment, solving problems on the floor, and wearing multiple hats in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and support electrical control systems in a manufacturing setting
- Work directly with PLCs (ladder logic) for basic programming and troubleshooting
- Configure and diagnose VFDs and motor control systems (1-2 motor applications)
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts
- Support production by quickly identifying and resolving electrical or controls issues
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve reliability and performance
This is not a desk‑only or theory‑based role - it requires regular hands‑on work inside control panels and on the production floor.
Required Experience
- Several years of hands‑on electrical controls experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of:
- PLC ladder logic
- VFDs
- Relays, contactors, and motor controls
- Proven ability to troubleshoot both electrical and controls issues, not just programming
- Comfortable working on‑site in a small, growing team environment
Nice to Have
- Associate's degree, technical training, or trade school background in electrical, automation, or controls
- Experience in commercial or industrial manufacturing environments
- Background with OEM equipment or supporting production operations
Why Consider This Role?
- Stable, growing manufacturer with a strong reputation in their market
- Visible impact - your work directly affects production and reliability
- Supportive, professional culture with high standards and no negativity
- Consistent schedule, no overtime, and limited travel
If you're a controls professional who enjoys hands‑on work, autonomy, and responsibility, this is a strong opportunity to make an immediate impact.
