About the Role:
A large, multi-site consumer packaged goods manufacturer is seeking a Corporate Controls MES Engineer to join its corporate controls engineering team. This role focuses on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), industrial data, and business intelligence, supporting both new system deployments and upgrades across multiple manufacturing facilities.
You'll work at the intersection of controls & automation, MES, and data analytics, helping manufacturing operations gain actionable insights through modern platforms like AVEVA MES, SQL Server, and Power BI.
What You'll Do:
- Design, configure, and support MES functionality across multiple manufacturing sites
- Develop and maintain AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform graphics, objects, scripting, and MES applications
- Support AVEVA MES modules including Operations, Performance, Quality, and BPM
- Integrate MES with PLC systems (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley) to capture and contextualize production data
- Develop and maintain C# applications using Microsoft Visual Studio
- Build and support Power BI data models, dashboards, and reports (on‑prem and cloud)
- Migrate legacy SSRS and Tableau reports into Power BI
- Design and maintain SQL Server databases, ETL processes (SSIS), and data gateways
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with best practices
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 7 years of Controls & Automation experience in manufacturing (food & beverage, consumer goods, or similar)
- Strong Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix PLC programming (ladder logic)
- Advanced HMI development, preferably AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform
- Strong object‑oriented programming fundamentals
- C# experience (Visual Studio)
- Deep experience with SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and industrial data systems
- Experience with Ethernet/IP networks in plant environments
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
- There is no sponsorship now or in the future for this role
Preferred:
- Hands-on AVEVA MES experience (or similar MES platforms)
- Power BI development experience (data modeling, DAX, dashboards)
- Tableau experience
- Data warehousing and ETL design familiarity
Salary : $140,000
