We are currently hiring an Armed Security Site Supervisor to oversee on-site armed security operations in the Andalusia, AL area. This position is ideal for candidates with prior military, law enforcement, or armed supervisory security experience who demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to lead armed officers while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
As an Armed Security Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising armed security officers, maintaining compliance with post orders, and serving as the primary point of contact between the client and DSI management. This is a hands-on role requiring both leadership and active armed security duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support armed security officers during assigned shifts
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors
- Maintain visible armed presence to deter unacceptable or unsafe activities
- Ensure officers comply with DSI and client-specific post instructions
- Conduct vehicle and foot patrols in marked patrol units
- Control access at main gates, checkpoints, and protected areas
- Perform and oversee bag, vehicle, and personnel searches
- Escort authorized personnel and vehicles as required
- Respond to calls for service, incidents, and emergency situations
- Provide armed response to security threats when required
- Assist with tactical or contingency response based on post assignment
- Observe, report, and correct safety hazards and suspicious activity
- Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public
- Complete and review incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation
- Monitor officer performance and report concerns to branch management
- Ensure officers maintain professional appearance and conduct
- Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of new officers
- Participate in required training and remain familiar with DSI safety procedures and manuals
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior military service, Class 1 law enforcement, or armed security supervisory experience preferred
- Previous site supervisor or shift lead experience preferred
- Tactical, SWAT, or specialized response training preferred
- Valid state driver’s license
- Valid concealed carry permit and armed security license
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills
- Dependable vigilance and sound judgment at all times
- Reliable transportation and means of communication
- Working knowledge of security technology and access control systems
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience enforcing policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, prolonged standing, and moderate lifting
- Ability to work all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
- Must meet all pre-employment requirements
Available Shift
This position is primarily first shift, Monday through Friday, but candidates must be available to work outside of these hours when operational needs require.
