We are conducting a search for a Corporate Controller on behalf of an industrial products company preparing its accounting function for institutional-grade reporting and future transaction readiness. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this executive will own the controllership agenda: accounting operations, controls, and the integrity of the financial record across a multi-entity structure.
Key Responsibilities
Own the global close and consolidation across multiple legal entities, driving the close calendar toward best-in-class timing Lead technical accounting, including purchase accounting for acquisitions, revenue recognition, and complex reserve matters Manage the external audit relationship, delivering clean, timely audits and remediation of any control findings Strengthen internal controls and accounting policy, building toward transaction-ready financial governance Develop the accounting organization, including entity controllers and shared-services accounting staff Partner with FP&A and tax to ensure a single, reliable source of financial truth across the enterprise
What You Bring 15 years in accounting leadership, including a prior corporate controller or VP accounting seat in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-entity environments Active CPA required, with a strong technical foundation in GAAP and purchase accounting A record of upgrading close processes, controls, and audit outcomes Private equity-backed or pre-transaction experience preferred Undergraduate degree in accounting required; public accounting foundation strongly preferred
