The Test Lead will plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of test preparation, execution, and defect management, working closely with business users, functional analysts, and technical teams. The successful candidate will drive the UAT strategy, manage the test schedule, monitor progress, provide transparent reporting to stakeholders, and ensure readiness for release across all subject areas and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the UAT Test Strategy, including scope, objectives, timelines, and approach in alignment with the overall delivery plan.
- Review URS, KPI Catalogue, Functional Specifications, and Reports Inventory to design high-level and detailed test scenarios.
- Define and maintain the UAT Test Plan, ensuring coverage for KPIs, reports, and data reconciliation outcomes.
- Coordinate with business testers, functional teams, and POD leads to ensure smooth test execution and issue resolution.
- Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle, including triage, prioritization, and closure using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Track and report testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders and leadership on a regular cadence.
- Facilitate defect triage meetings with business and technical teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
- Ensure UAT environment readiness, data availability, and test preconditions in collaboration with technical teams.
- Validate adherence to acceptance criteria for each user story or KPI group before business sign-off.
- Document test results, maintain evidence, and support audit/compliance reviews as applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement of test processes and templates, ensuring alignment with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 10–12 years of experience in testing and quality assurance, with at least 4–5 years in a Test Lead role.
- Strong experience in UAT management, business validation, or data/report testing in analytics or data warehouse projects.
- Exposure to the Life Sciences commercial domain (Sales, Contracts, Interactions, C360, or Reporting KPIs) preferred.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Proven ability to create test strategies, test plans, and detailed scenarios from business and functional specifications.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
- Working knowledge of Agile principles and sprint-based delivery.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
