Role Description
The Electrical Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the design and substantiation of new electrical subsystems and modifications to aircraft primary electrical and mission critical systems. These subsystems include, but are not limited to, intercommunication systems, mission power, video distribution and RF connectivity. The Electrical Engineer should be familiar with FAA safety and performance regulations, primarily with Part 23 aircraft. Familiarity to ASME, IEEE and/or DOD electrical drafting standards is preferred.
Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience as an electrical engineer or equivalent industry experience in electrical engineering to be considered.
- Recent experience in the aviation field, minimum of two (2) years in aviation/aerospace.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Extensive knowledge of preparing wiring diagrams in VISIO or other CAD system and preparing reports and other documents using office software.
- Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience working directly with FAA ACO and FAA DERs/DARs.
- Part 23 Aircraft experience, ideally also Parts 25, 27, and 29.
