What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Drywall Co?
We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a part time position. You will be responsible for the effective management and daily operations of our Company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet, P&L in Computerease (CE) software and WIP in Excel
- Reconcile all accounts to GL
- Provide outside accounting firm with data, as needed
- Send financials to bank and bonding company, as needed.
- Set up new GL accounts when needed
- Enter contracts and budgets in CE
- Enter and manage pending change orders and reconcile to PCO log
- Set up new jobs by taxing jurisdiction & maintain files
- Close jobs when complete
- Enter all job-related costs by cost code
- Prepare owner lien waivers when necessary
- Request payment of subcontractor's invoices & retention
- Prepare 1099s
- Prepare all GC requisitions and waivers and submit as required
- Post all job-related cash receipts
- Manage all 2nd tier subcontracts including master subcontracts
- Prepare all subcontractor invoices as directed by PM
- Collect and manage subcontractors' certificates of insurance
- Collect all certified payrolls from subcontractors
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll for 8-10 employees
- Prepare W-2s
- Transfer money, as needed, between accounts and post to GL
- Other:
- Prepare Pre-qualifications reports for GCs
- Prepare audit reports for insurance company
- Renew business licenses
- Submit returns to outside licensing jurisdictions
- Manage all accounting questions/problems
- Maintain CE access for all users and handle CE software issues
- Notarize documents
