Facilities Project & SHE Manager

About Drylock Reidsville
Drylock Technologies’ Reidsville facility is a high-growth manufacturing site producing baby care products on high-speed converting and packaging lines. The site is expanding with new production lines and infrastructure investments, with a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and world-class performance.
Position Summary
The Facilities Project & SHE Manager is responsible for leading all site capital projects, facilities management, and Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE/EHS) programs.
This role ensures:
- Safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations
- Successful execution of capital and expansion projects
- A proactive, zero-incident safety culture
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilities & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee all plant utilities and infrastructure (HVAC, compressed air, electrical systems, fire protection, waste handling)
- Ensure high reliability and uptime through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Manage facility service providers and contractors
- Maintain compliance with local, state (North Carolina), and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA)
- Lead facility audits, inspections, and corrective action plans
2. Capital Projects & Expansion
- Lead site capital projects from concept through execution (scope, budget, timeline)
- Support new production line installations, facility expansions, and layout improvements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global engineering teams
- Manage external contractors, vendors, and permitting processes
- Ensure projects are delivered:
- On time
- Within budget
- In full compliance with safety standards
3. Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE / EHS) Leadership
- Drive a strong safety culture aligned with Drylock’s zero-incident vision
- Own site safety programs including:
- OSHA compliance
- LOTO, machine guarding, NFPA 70E
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Safety training and audits
- Lead environmental compliance (waste management, air/water permits, chemical handling)
- Maintain all required OSHA logs and reporting
- Analyze KPIs and implement continuous safety improvements
4. Risk Management & Compliance
- Conduct risk assessments for new equipment, projects, and facility changes
- Ensure all facility modifications meet safety and regulatory standards
- Lead emergency preparedness and response planning
- Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with:
- Maintenance (equipment reliability & utilities)
- Production (operational readiness)
- Quality (compliance and audits)
- HR (training and safety culture)
- Provide technical leadership during startup of new lines and plant expansions
What You Bring
Experience
- 7–10 years in manufacturing (preferably high-speed converting, packaging, or similar)
- Proven experience in:
- Facilities management
- Capital project execution
- EHS/SHE leadership
- Experience in a fast-growing or greenfield/expansion environment is strongly preferred
Technical / Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards
- Utilities systems (HVAC, compressed air, electrical)
- Construction/project management practices
- Experience managing contractors and large capital budgets
- Ability to perform risk assessments and lead incident investigations
