What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reconstruction Superintendent position at Dry Guys Restoration LLC?
Dry Guys Restoration is a growing insurance restoration contractor serving the Treasure Valley. Our reconstruction division rebuilds homes and businesses after water, fire, and storm damage — and we're looking for a Reconstruction Superintendent to own the job from approved scope through the final handshake.
This is a field position. You'll be in your truck, on your jobs, and in front of your clients every day. We provide the vehicle, the phone, the laptop, and the systems. You bring the ability to run a schedule, hold subs accountable, and keep homeowners feeling taken care of during one of the worst weeks of their life.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Client communication — Be the single point of contact from day one through completion. Set expectations up front, give proactive weekly updates, and make sure no homeowner ever has to wonder what's happening in their house.
- Subcontractor coordination — Schedule and sequence trades, walk scope with each sub before they start, verify work against the estimate, and keep crews moving so jobs don't sit.
- Quality assurance — Walk every phase. Catch problems before the client does. Build and close out punch lists so the final walkthrough is a formality, not a negotiation.
- Materials coordination — Get selections made early, order ahead of the schedule, confirm deliveries, and keep material delays off the critical path.
- Overall client satisfaction — Own the outcome. Your scoreboard is on-time completion, clean jobs, and clients who would hire us again and tell their neighbors.
- Document daily progress, photos, and change orders in our project management system.
- Identify supplemental scope in the field and get it documented and approved before the work happens.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Experience in insurance reconstruction or restoration — you understand carriers, scopes, supplements, and why documentation matters.
- Excellent communication skills — clear, calm, and responsive with homeowners, adjusters, and trade partners.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. This is a driving position.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Comfortable working in active construction environments — climbing ladders, accessing attics and crawlspaces, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Organized enough to run several jobs at once without dropping one.
NICE TO HAVE
- Xactimate experience, writing or reading estimates.
- Experience with Albi, or a comparable CRM / project management platform.
- Broader restoration background — mitigation, contents, or large loss.
- Trade experience or a general contractor's background.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $60,000 – $70,000 per year, based on experience.
- Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, and laptop — everything you need to do the job, on us.
- Health insurance and paid time off.
- A real reconstruction division with steady volume, not a side department.
- Direct access to ownership. Good ideas get implemented here, not filed.
- Room to grow as the division grows.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply directly through Indeed with your resume. If you've run insurance reconstruction jobs and you're tired of chasing your own paperwork, we'd like to talk.
